Dana 44 E-Locker Question

Post by orcus420 »

I just got an E-Locker for a Dana44 and although the instructions show a "anti-rotation bracket" that prevents the electro-magnet from rotating with the carrier, there was not one in my box. I call the dealer I bought it from (www.completeoffroad.com) and after 3 days got a call back saying that my application (Dana44) doesn't use the bracket. I am not so sure I trust them on that. The E-Locker is only available for about 6 different axles and the instructions say that hte design of the bracket will differ depending on the axle, but it does not say anything aabout any applications not using the bracket. Has anyone here bought one and can verify if I am suppose to have one or not?

I was just looking at an E-Locker EBSTEVE is installing in an 8.8 and it was missing that anti-rotation bracket and a few other things. Josh went to Randy's and they gave him the missing parts. His was an open box buy.

After seeing the design, I would think you have to have that bracket, otherwise it's just the wires preventing any rotation and I think they'd break for sure.
