89 b2 2.9 (manual locking hub)

Post by justbowl88 »

So i was leaving work today and noticed that my left front hub was protruding from the rim. It wont come out any further and i haven't been wheelin in over 2 months. Is this an easy fix and is it even safe to drive on?

Well a guess only, but it looks like the tube portion has broken away from the flat that has the wheel studs going through it. It should be fine to drive on, only 4x4 wont work. Those hubs are all over in junk yards in BroncoII and rangers. I might even have a used pair in my garage......

Get the entire locking hub. You have to take the tire off and it will slide off. Might as well grab both sides so you have a spare.
