1989 BRONCO 2 2.9 ENGINE SWAP

I just recently purchased a 1989 bronco 2 for my son, it is bone stock with the 2.9, auto. It was run low on oil now the engine is seized (ruined after 2 weeks)

I can not find another 2.9 to go into it, will other v6 motors bolt up to the existing transmission? I have no ideal about v6 engines.

try www.therangerstation.com. there is a 4.0 v-6 swap that is extremly common from the explorers. i don't know if it bolts up to the same tranny but they would know
