canadian redneck needs help

I'm not that computer literate, can someone tell me how to do the "quote" thing in a reply? Also how do you make a link thing so that it hi-lights and you can click on it? I know this seems stupid to those who knows these things, but I'm just a wrench turning, two finger typing beer drinker.

for the quote deal just look at the bottom right corner of the post you want to quote and there is a button that says "quote" it will automatically open up a reply box with the quoted message in it. as for doing links the way i do it is I open up another internet explorer window and go to the page I want to link to and if you highlight the address in the address bar and just copy and paste it into a post it will create a hyperlink for you. Hope that was easy enough for you sometimes I'm not the best at explaining things sometimes.
