temp guage will not work..Temp sending unit??

Post by 87xjmike »

I hate to ask stupid questins like this but my other rig is taking up most of my time right now and i don't have much time or money to waste with this bronco between school and work. I know relatively little about this 2.8l and was inquiring on the where abouts of the temp sending unit. I figure i'll start there. The rest of the guages work in the same cluster as the temp guage so i hopeing its not a wiring issue in the dash. Where else should i look if its not the temp sending unit. I havent even looked at the fuse box yet, i'm sure that'll be a good place to start.

Don't know much about the 2.8 but the temp sensor should be located near the thermostat.

The sending unit is not with the thermostat it is on the upper water inlet on the front of the intake manifold the one next to the theromstat housing on the bottom is oil pressure.
And on the 8th day God created beer.
