Starter 4.0
Maby some one could help me out here. Can I use the starter off my 4.0 stander shift trans, on to my C5 auto. Reason I ask is that the C5 flex plate has a 1" spacer behind it, where the flywheel did not. But they look about the same height, when you seat them down on the floor side by side. Thanks for any info.

I don't think it will work.
the auto flexplate(4.0L) and the 2.9L flywheel will use the auto starter, but the manual starter for the 4.0L is different.
