computer question

Post by texastud1983 »

I got a little electronic box with some wire harness going into it that is behind my drivers seat. The box was behind the plastic, but it is mounted on the back side of the B piller. Do any of yall know what it is?
I tried to post some pics but after I added the attatchment the page would come up blank.
Thanks

The Box in the B pillar is part of the brake ABS system. I think it is the brake computer..

Thanks Tek!
Think I could get rid or it.
I got a 9 inch in the rear anyways.
If I got rid or it, I guess I would get an ABS light though,

what year is the rig? Usually the ABS computer is up by the mastercylinder.(unless it is a corvette) the stereo amp is usually under the dash. I believe you said it was an 84' in which case ABS wasn't a option. It is probably the controller for your seatbelt light.
