New rear suspension

Post by Rockcrawler »

Well i finally decided to redo my rear suspension. I have changed the front more times then i can count but the rear has always been the same. This rear suspension cost me more then all the others ones because im doing it at my place so i had to wire up the shop for the welder and get tanks for the torch so that set me back 600 bucks right there!!! But now its coming along. I got everything striped down and the axle tube welded to the pumpkin for extra strength. Im going to be running a three link with areo star coils with air bags inside. I got some extreamly beefy bottom links!! and the front joints are super strong to so i dont think i will have to worry about anything! And of course chester the shop doggy had to help loosen those pesky bolts by peeing on them! And then there is wes helping me out alot to!

Are you mounting the coils inboard of the frame? Or under?

Doesn't look like alot of room if your going under the frame. I'm guessing this is being mocked up at ride height?

My bad I see that it's a full width axle and I can kinda catch that your outboarding the mounts.

Is that the upper mount I see (Black)? That from the Aerostar too?

I think that is head gear from a welding hood or a face shield.
