Help locating part

Post by Wheelz »

So i've posted before about how my BII wasn't starting in park and the gear selection was off. Well today I found out why, it turns out that the shift pivot bracket that mounts to the frame was broken  . I've hit all the junkyards in my area and no one has one. So my question do any of you know where I might be able to get one. Right now the truck is stuck at the garage.

Thanks

Well after being under the truck all day Saturday, i finally figured out that the bracket is part of the bellcrank assembly. How difficult is it going to be to pull the bellcrank assembly out. The manual says to remove the linkages, but there seems to be groments holding them in place..Any adivce?

i had the same thing happin to me the only way to get the linkage off is to remove the gromits and for me the easyist way to do so was to burn them out and i went to autozone and had them order me some for like 15 bucks so that is what i did so if you want u can do that or if u want u can take the time and try to get them out whitout messing them up but my first on i tried to do so with i put a hole in it so like i said i burnt mine out
