hooking up a tach?

well i want to hook up a tachometor, its a 86 bronco II. does anyone know what wire from the ignition coil is the neg. or what ever i need to splice the signal feed wire from the tach into?

Splice into the green wire going to the coil.

the green one is the neg and the pos i believe is white but you wont need to mess with that

It is the green wire. Usually there is a test port on the coil that a female spade connector will plug right into. That way you won't have to cut a wire.
