Dana 20 in a BII

Post by Jbroncoh »

I'm putting a 302 in my BII. The plan is 302, C-4, Dana 20, but I talked to James Duff today & they told me that the Dana 20 will have problems clearing the frame. Anyone know if that's true or if they're just trying to sell me the adapter for the Borg Warner? I hate that thought.

My Dana 20 clears fine....can't say as much for the NP435.

I believe Bob ( www.mybronco2.com ) recently put a dana 20 behind his C4. He's a member here, but doesn't come around too often. Might want to send him an e-mail.

I have a C4 and a Dana 20 in my 85 BroII. I have NEVER heard of any "clearance problems". Actually..the Dana 20 was the easiest xfer to put in! It's considerably smaller than other xfers.

Thanks guys. Yeah, Duff must be trying to make a buck. Thats the first I've heard of any clearance problems too.

there shouldn't be a clearence prob, body lift though, will help n e probalems, it also makes for easy access.
