My 87 will scrub the fronts if I crank to full lock. I got 225X75X15 Goodyear ATs. My other one (may it rest in peace) did the same thing with 235X75X15 Generals. That's about as big as you can go with out doing work on the engine and gears.
If I can't fix it, It ain't broke.

Check this out, if you have stock wheels then you have only a six inch wide wheel which means that anything over a 10.50 wide tire will end up causing the tire to bubble. In other words your bronco and tires will suck. Second the hieght of the tire is up to you. With no cutting involved you can go to 31 MAX but you will rub on the passenger front fender. Since you have 235/75-15 then you are about a 29/9.00-15 tire so you could go to 30/9.50-15 Just fine without having to change anyting on your rig. I managed 32/11.50-15 just fine AFTER to cut the crap out of my fenders, but hey to each his own. I only know this because I work at les schwab and see things like this every day. Good luck

I found even with a 3" lift 31's will still rub under full compression. Those were on stock alloy wheels. They always seemed to push the rear of the fenderwells in. In my experience a 30X 9.50 on a 7 inch wheel is the biggest without a lift.

Due to some punk kids and a knife, I just put on Super Swampers tsl/sx 29X10.50 on 15" Rock cralwer Series 97 wheels. Under full compression I hit the front fenders on the right side and the left side in front of the doors. Since i'm putting on Fender Flares i'll be trimming about 2inches off each fender.

Will get some pics this coming weekend
