5speed to a 4speed

Ive got the 5speed mistubishi tranny that has recently decided to convert itself into a 4 speed. 5th gear went out on my way home from my girlfriend's house. been like this for a couple months now. drives fine, but now it sux gas!!!

anyone know what went out? or have a spare tranny layin around? i can put it in overdive but nothin happens. it acts like it's a neutral gear slot.

Either the nut that holds the gear on to the shaft has backed off and gear actually fell off, or the shift fork is bent and not even going into 5th gear. Both of those are common to the 5 speeds.
