I think the bottom picture is the neutral safety swt. and the soleniod is for converter lock up only. I'm about 3 beers in so.........We have a tranny guy here that own a shop so maybe he can tell me I'm wrong and quit posting when I've been drinking. :beer: :D

Did you pull the spout plug located right side by upper intake about the middle when you set the timing? It's gotta be a 2.9L.

How long did it sit? Was this the reason why it was parked? When you turn the key on does the high pressure pump vibrate? Sounds like a problem with the high pressure pump maybe.

That may be, the 1 I have with a build date of 08/89 doesn't have a dummy case.

not the one I have in my front yard, when they changed the body style they put a full driveline. I could be wrong.

1990 didn't have the Dummy case in it. 88 was the last year for that. Remember that Ranger's had the same running gear. Driveshaft may differ.

That's good. Did you change your T-stat when you did all that work?. Went on a 4X4 trip to Big Bear this weekend and haven't been here. might want to check the fuel regulator Pull the hose off and see if it has gas on the vacuum side. just throwing stuff at you

You can pull codes by grounding a wire at computer at the location that Tex said. I got to find my manual and see if I can get back to you or someone here may know.
