Thanks. She's looking OK, and does pretty good on the trail, but I am very jealous over the drivetrain your sporting. At the very least, I want a C5 and doubler, but a 4.0 would really be sweet. I have had only manuals for years, but the Mitsu really sucks and I think I'd be a little more "graceful ...

I think I went to Specialty Metals in Kent once (but might have been Kent Metal Supermarkets), when I lived down in that area. The gave me (free) a whole bunch of their remnants - I gave them 5 bucks for the donut fund. Still using some of the angle to this day. Although with todays steel prices I ...

Where are you NW WA guys getting steel?
I was wondering where you guys in the King/Snoho/Pierce county guys get your metal for your smaller fab jobs. The main one I go to (MEtal Supermarkets - Woodinville) I have to rely primarily on the remnants section because minimum order of "virgin" stock is to much for me to use/justify. But the ...

I'm running an adjustable, and it has ~2.5" of thread showing. Not optimal. I was overly concerned when I did my swap with matching drag link/track bar lengths and angles and I figure that the adjustable would be the easiest way to go - if I ever do another one I'll probably just fiddle more with ...

On my 88, I aligned the rear hole of a 78-79 Big Bronco drop bracket with the center frame hole of the "inverted bolt-hole triangle". If you go to the link below and look at the 3rd picture down, you can see what I mean. This gave me exactly 94" wheelbase, which I believe is stock B2. I hade to add ...

All in all, this project was a little more than I was bargaining for given my limited expertise. On the positive side, the floor stiffened up nicely after I got the tubs riveted in, and despite the thin gauge metal the assembled tubs are very rigid. If I were to start over, I’d still just buy a big ...

Here’s one in place. The tub frame is riveted to the floor every two inches or so. My orignal plan was to weld the assembly in, but I figured this way will be easier to modify. I need to run a bead of seam sealer around the edges where the tub meets the body and where the frame meets the floor. When ...
