If I had 2 differentials on my garage floor how would I tell the difference between the 8.8 and the 7.5. there is no ring gear on them and I know the open dif one is an 8.8. I am just trying to figure out if the other on is an 8.8 or 7.5, and it is a limited slip.

Check the repair manual or call a tranny shop and see if the bands can be tightened. Its seems normal that it only does it when its warm, if it just needed to be adjusted. Some auto trannys you can tighten the bands on them so they will not slip anymore.

If you live by a upullit yard you could go get some manual hubs there. If your lucky you might find some warns, but probably not. I have stock manual hubs and I've broke an axle shaft before but not the hubs.

There is a special tool to take the radio out of the dash. You can go buy it or make one out of a coat hanger(metal one), or use nails. Put them in the four holes in the face of the deck(make sure thier in far enough), then pull them twords eachother wile puling it from the dash. Good luck with that ...
