Re: Need some help with lift kits!
It’s not complicated!! That article is good, but it goes around the world in detail and confuses people.
Pm me a phone number, and I can give you a call and explain everything.

Re: Exploding Locking Hub Bronco II 4x4
You were in 4wd on the pavement? Big no-no!! The when you turn the front wheels, the outside wheel of the turn tries to spin faster than the inside wheel. But the diff tries to spin both wheels at the same speed. The front hub is the weakest stress point, and it gives. Being that it was the drivers ...

Re: Need some help with lift kits!
A 4wd lift kit will not work on a 2wd. Fortunately for you, converting your 2wd to 4wd is a straight bolt on swap (you only have to swap one bracket before you can bolt on the 4wd TTB!!
So just convert it and then use the 4wd kit!!

Re: 2WD TO 4WD SWAP
The A4LD trans has it own unique length of T-case linkage... MAtter of fact, if you look on the shifter arm, you'll see it marked "A4LD" You need to find the linkage for a manual transmission. I have one, but will only swap it to you for a manual 13-54 shifter linkage (I'll even throw in $...

If you do the 4.0 swap into an 89 or 90 B2, then it's a plug and play swap AS LONG AS you get ALL the underhood wiring. Simply remove the 110 pin connector w/ a 10mm bolt in it, and install the 4.0 underhood harness. You also need to go through the firewall on the pass side w/ the 2 rubber grommets....

I wouold recomend a new 2.9. Some have had luck w/ just redoing a head gasket, most have not. The 2.9 casting is rather weak around the bolts...and are VERY prone to cracking there when re-installed If you bust it, you can do it in a weekend. You will need help, and you need to get along w/ your hel...
