I found some gear oil leaking out of the trans/ bellhousing the other night. Wondering what this meant. I believ it is coming out of both the bellhousing and the place where the trans attaches to the bell housing. Any ideas?

yea i think that is what i will end up doing i just thought it would be a cool idea.

anyone ever thought of a way to put an electronic choke switch in the cab? i think it would be pretty cool after switching to duraspark.

I didnt find anything at the yard today that would work but i did find the exact housing i need online. thanks for the help everyone. despite not finding the bellhousing i got a new carb, ac compressor, shocks(mine were bent), and rear end with a l/s for about 90 bucks. so all in all not ...

Ok so if i go to the yard and find a newer donor, then if i pull the bellhousing, trannny, and clutch assembly it should work in my 84?

would i be able to pull the tranny and use that too to make it ues teh internal or would i have to swap the engine?

it has an external slave kinda sucks i guess. how hard would it be to make a internal slave housing work? what woudl i need to get from the donor vehicle?
