Re: Buying a 1988 Bronco 4WD 5-Speed
Thats a nice looking BII. I see quite a few positives to it. It's a stick with a manual Transfer case. It looks clean. If it runs good I would jump on it in a minute. It has nice wheels and room for bigger ones with the body lift it has. check the water level in the radiator and if it is real low ...

Re: Parasitic drain on battery
I might guess the click is coming from the carb. I think there is a fuel cutoff solenoid on the carb. Not really sure about that but if you have any wires near and going to the carb you might try unplugging the wires and see if the draw goes away. When I am looking for a current drain, I just unplug ...

Re: New calipers front brakes still lock up
Your best bet is the hoses to the caliper. I would not think a porpotional valve would lock the brakes. I have seen this happen so many times because of the hoses!

Re: Exploding Locking Hub Bronco II 4x4
It's possible that when the hub was turned to lock it wasn't fully engaged. a sharp turn could have stressed the partially engaged it broke the housing. Do you have a locker in that axle? lockers are hard on parts on the street.

Glad to hear you got it fixed. Tell us what you found so if someone encounters similar circumstances, they will have an idea of what to check?

Re: 86 B2 xlt O-Ring help
Sometimes if you have the bad Oring it can be measured and a new general oring installed. Do you have a picture of this Oring? That would help identify it. I am trying from memory to place it but I am drawing a blank. Maybe someone else has better info than I have...

Re: Checking In
Anyone still frequent this page? I still drop in from time to time and see what's new... Hey Phillippi and Mr. Nobody, how are the new Broncos holden up? I like the new Bronco, but I am a little concerned about the possible engine failures I am hearing about? what's the latest on that situation. So ...

Re: Newbie here needing some help
I am not sure how things are done DMV wise in Tennessee but the mileage thing should be a no problem thing as after so many years the DMV really don't care about mileage on a vehicle. After they roll over 100K it really doesn't matter as the DMV has done it's due diligence in protecting newer ...

Re: ODB1 KOER Codes
The first order of business is to look up the codes you are getting when engine is off. Can't troubleshoot with out knowing what codes you have. Do you have a obd1 reader or yare you reading the flash codes?

Re: Checking In
Yep I am still alive and Livin life on the Coast. No BII to speak of although I am getting ready to sell the Blower I had for the Monster 2.9. I have to finish that motor and find something to stuff it in just to get it out of my way in the shop. I am also still building the 27 TCoupe and making ...

Re: 89 bronco ii
Fuel pump is a common failure item but remember a BII has 2 fuel pumps. 1 low pressure pump near the tank and a high pressure pump on the frame rail drivers side near the front of the door. Also don't forget the Fuel filter too.

Re: axles
The Dana 35 is basically an explorer axle. It is slightly wider than a stock Dana 28 that is in the B2. The added strength of axles and gears makes the Dana 28 look like a Tonka axle. The Dana 35 swap is a almost bolt in operation. I say almost because "There is always a problem of 1 sort or another ...

Wow that is nice looking BII. Yeah I concur about getting another to use as your off roader, and keep this one to pull the trailer with your off road BII with.
