Re: 89 bronco ii
Fuel pump is a common failure item but remember a BII has 2 fuel pumps. 1 low pressure pump near the tank and a high pressure pump on the frame rail drivers side near the front of the door. Also don't forget the Fuel filter too.

Re: axles
The Dana 35 is basically an explorer axle. It is slightly wider than a stock Dana 28 that is in the B2. The added strength of axles and gears makes the Dana 28 look like a Tonka axle. The Dana 35 swap is a almost bolt in operation. I say almost because "There is always a problem of 1 sort or an...

Wow that is nice looking BII. Yeah I concur about getting another to use as your off roader, and keep this one to pull the trailer with your off road BII with.

Re: Checking In
Hey lance, Does gopher season warrant some rehab on them with like a 12 GA? Nothing happened over the winter here and looks like mid summer before anything will happen. I am thinking next year may be the year of fixing up a BII for my Monster 2.9. Either that make me an Air boat. Fishing seems like ...

Re: Hopping Bronc
I am in agreeance that it sounds like a shock problem. That is a good description of crappy or no shocks when driving over a washboard. I had a BII once that had new cheep cheep shocks I used to travel over this portion of the road that was all washboard and I had to slow my roll going down it as th...

Re: No Ignition Power
Brad, That headlight problem could be a real head scratcher. My first response was going to be "Always check and never assume something is good even if it is new. I had a both lights out on low beam once and it actually was both bulbs were burnt out! I see you mentioned turning them on by hitti...

Pull the fuel pump relay, see if pump stops. If the pump stops then try to retrieve the codes.

Re: No Ignition Power
Brad, There is a known problem with the BII Ignition switch mounted on mid to lower section of the column. They have been known to start separating and things go where they were not to go. and when that happens It is like your vehicle is possessed and electrical gremlins run amok! I don't have acces...

Re: New and need help
I did a search on the vin and pulled up the auction info and it states it is NOT A 4X4. Like lance said not all were 4x4 but all of them have a transfer case. In the non 4x4 the transfer case is a dummy case with no innards. They also try to fool you with the front wheel hub cover. They make it look...

Re: 84 2.8v6 fuel lines
As for the lines in your B2 there will be flexible connections at the tank, possibly at the fuel filter too. If you need to replace hard lines and want to make your own look for "NICOPP brake line. You can get it in 3/16,!/4,' 3/8ths and many other sizes. NiCopp line bends beautiful, resists co...
