From the sounds of it, the leak is most likely coming from the water pump. The stalling you are describing sounds more like a fuel issue than an overheating issue. I'd replace both filters first to see if there's any improvement. If not, I would replace the pressure regulator. It's more likely that the regulator would fail than either pump. If you do end up replacing the pressure regulator, be sure to shop around EVERYWHERE you can! Prices vary greatly. Here ...

I replaced the pump in the tank and it completely solved my problem. My truck would start dying when I'd start it after it was already warmed up. I concluded that it was in fact a fuel issue and went ahead and replaced the pump in the tank. It idled fine, so the fuel pressure was there, but there ...

If you find out what the problem is let me know. I have a similar issue that I have yet to pinpoint. I replace the tank, both filters, pressure regulator, and all 6 injectors. I did NOT replace the in tank pump however. All my diagnostics seemed to indicate that I had proper fuel volume at the rail ...

I'd try replacing the fuel pressure regulator. NAPA carries them for less than $30 and it's an easy fix. I replaced mine and it cured a hesitation issue I had.
