I had the same problem with a few of mine on a 85 B2. Turned out the studs were stripped out thus allowing for the bi-directional spinning. Mine was caused by a combination of rust and cross threading(B2 had set for a few years waiting for a new engine). Have to hand start a lug nut before impacting ...

all fixed up

Well it turned out to be worse than I thought of course :puke:. After pulling the passenger side head, I not only found water in the cyclinder but a piston that was coming apart. Pieces along the edge were gone and a crack to the center of the piston. I tore down the rest of the engine and found a ...

I have two BII's, one an 85 and an 89. both had non-working fuel gauges when I got them. Thought it would be a sending unit until I pulled the tanks on both of them. Come to find out there was a hole in the brass float. I dried them real good and then soldered the holes shut. These are very thin and ...

First I found that my bottom radiator hose had a hole in it and very little water was left in the radiator. Very little oil was found under engine, no more than normal, so I have to assume the smoke ...

Tried to buy after market kit, no such luck. Need advice on which wire is hooked to what on the 4 wire hitch(left ...

Looking for thoughts on 89 BII Engine problems

Looking for advice before I start on engine. Have 89 with rebuilt 2.9 engine with about 40-50K on it. Had new thicker casting heads put on engine when I installed rebuild. As this story goes, yesterday was driving onto freeway and accelerating when I heard a new clattering noise coming from the ...
