so got it figured out...new ign.coil,' dist.cap, rotor,high pressure fuel pump....now it's back to normal. i do have the weird black fuel filter that seems to be kinda rare, ...and the "tick"..is ever present, but from what i'm reading it's pretty normal for the 2.9..but open to any ideas! i do have ...

bronco 2 slow to start....
my b2 1986 all of the sudden is slow to start, cranks quite a few times before it fires, then idles a bit rough.....under throttle it seems fine...???

Hey there....i cannot seem to find the ignition control module on my bronco....book and net say it is on the front radiator support but it's not there. any other ideas also i have the usuall engine tick when it gets warm....tried hvy oil, stp, lucas..ligh oil...still tickin! and ideas..pretty sure ...

I have posted here for the past few days with my BII heating up and dying....i changes the filter, ignition module, dist. cap and rotor....from the looks of it, trouble solved. the rotor looked old and corroded. seems ro run fine now, still has the usuall "ticking"...but from the sounds of it...that ...

1986 b2 2.9 fuel issue
Hello again...after a bit of frustration I am back. my b2 acts like it runs out of fuel when warm (after 10 min or so) it eventually dies and re-starts after some time. I have re routed the fuel line (vapor lock), changed the fuel filter.....now i'm stumped again....any ideas?

I own an 86 B-II 2.9 efi, cool it runs well, but after it warms it acts like it is running out of fuel...eventually it dies and re-starts after awhile. I re-routed the fuel line away from the manifold (vaporlock) and did seem to get some relief, now it runs fine under throttle, but at idle it acts ...

86' bronco II .....acts like it run out of fuel after hot..
My 86' b11 acts like it runs out of fuel when it is hot. it misses and sputters then dies. it doesent want to start again, but once it sits for awhile it runs again till hot. fuel pump?
