Dana 44 High-Steer



This conversion uses heavy duty cheby tie rod ends and involves reaming your knuckles out from the top. This raises your tie rod about 4" out of harms way, and at the same time helps reduce the angle of your drag link.

This photo compares 3 different dana 44 knuckles. Notice the placement of the steering arms. To the left is a knuckle off of a F-150, in the middle is and early bronco knuckle, and on the right is a scout knuckle.

The early bronco knuckles are nice because the steering arm is already relatively high. Since I still need to do the disc brake conversion, I have the option of swapping
