ok im having a problem with my current 5.0 swap ignition wiring.
The problem is that at first i could get the car to start if I left the key in the "start" position and it would run but obviously that dosnt work to well as it would wear out the starter real quick
So i took a multimeter and tested the wiring and found everything is getting power properly(as far as i know) so i moved the white wire that would normally just go to the starter relay to a relay on the side. So now it gets power when the key is in "run" and "start" instead of only in "start". that makes the car run fine.
So im thinking I must have something hooked up wrong.
I have the red wire from the Spark Module and the red wire from the Coil both connecting to the exact same spot on a wire that goes to a relay thats Hot on "run" and "start" then the white wire was going to the starter relay but as i said I moved it to the relay thats hot on run.
it was fords fault :) the wires coming off the Ignition module are white and red for power lets say red is on top and white is bottom. Well nice ford made the wires coming out after the connector the exact opposite so white is now top and red is bottom so basically I had it hooked up backwards because whe wires coming off the wiring harness are backwards from what comes off the ignition module
sorry I just saw this, but I got confused with that too. my frends kept telling me what you are and I had it hooked up in reverse untill I realized that they were talking about the other clip. glad you found it though.
