Does an exploder 5 speed match up to my BII transfer case?

you will want to use that tranny if you upgrade to the 4.0L......the M50D is the best manual out there for the V6.

M50D being the exploder i presume... i'll inspect it after i get it out to make sure it's good.... the rig was a stolen recovery so who knows what kind of shape it's in.... the motor is toast. do all exploders have pushbutton transfers?

yes, and I think yes. keep your BII transfer case if it manual shift. no shift motor to break.

if you get that tranny use the 4.0L flywheel/clutch, you will be happier with it. it will handle the torque transfer better and not smoke out on you as easy. this set up is a good system to get you ready for the SAS you will be planning when ever you get this swap done. :finger:

i'm planning on getting this done ASAP. we have a campout planned for memorial weekend and i want to have the 88 done before then.... my 86 is in good shape so i can use it if the 88 isn't ready yet..... i'm waiting for the exploder to show up at the shop... was supposed to be there today, but the guy didn't show with it.... i was hoping to have the 88 running within a week or 2 so i can sell the 86 to finance lift and other goodies :tongue2:
