Can you screw up a clutch master cylinder by depressing and releasing the push rod before there is fluid in the system.

Another guy told me that if you depress the pushrod without having the master connected to the slave you ruin the master. My new wont build any pressure and i have bled the sytem at least 10 times from the slave to the master both.

I have also heard this in a number of forums. What gives true or false?

They are just a pain to bleed. Make sure you lift the pedal at the top of the stroke.
