Another fuel gauge question

Post by danboy282 »

Is it true that having an in tank fuel pump makes the price of the fuel gauge sending unit go up? if so why? Does it make replacing the sending unit more difficult? if so why?

Damn fuel gauge :hmmm:

ive found that to be true only because the sending unit is sold as part of the fuel pump assembly. the whole thing has to be replaced. the extra cost is for the new fuel pump. i have an '88 bII. this is true for my case.
