87-93 and 94-95 302 questions

Post by OCD4B2 »

Ok :D , i got my 302 and its a 1990 5.0 HO. My computer on the other hand is a 1995. I'm gonna be running an AOD for now because i want a 4th speed and not be stuck with 3. I'm going aftermarket of course because i know they suck stock. but n e ways i wanted to know about the similarities between these two different motors. When i was looking around for a "painless" wiring harness i never saw a kit that was just for a number of years, just 5.0 EFI. I already know about the intake and such being duifferent, but is there really n e thing else? Please tell me soon because i am currently working on an AOD tranny that should be an inbetween year, cant remember  ................

computer might not work for the year motor and tranny. for example 95 bronco computer controled a E4OD so no need for those controls on a AOD. you should try to find a computer for around the same year of your motor. that way you wont have to worry about sensors that are not being use triggering engine check light.

Well the computer i got IS for a 1995 AOD. So i could easlily get one for a 94 or a 95 AOD. Thats not what i am asking really, i know that those assemblies will work. I wanna know if the 9-95 wiring harness will work on my 1990 motor.
