TRANNY?

my 1986 b2 starts and runs fine. the only problem is recently, when i put it in drive it doesnt drive, it acts as though its in neutral. as a matter of fact it only movrs in reverse. what the hell did i do? :mad2:

Same thing mine did. I chunked the auto and am putting in a manual. So far I have under 400 in the swap.

1. Sell it.
2. Buy a used trans and install yourself.
3. Pull the trans and have someone else fix it.
4. Take it to a shop and let them screw with it.
5. Convert to a stick.
6. Do something, anything!
There you go 6 options. I might note the secret can of stuff fix is not applicable.

I've talked to a bunch of transmission guys and all said the A4LD is junk. Go with a C5 or 5speed.
