I have had this happen to me after I replaced my cap, rotor, and ignition module. Check the hold down bolt at the base of the distributor and see if it is loose at all, if it is you may have turned the distributor and knocked it out of timing. I had bumped mine and it took forever to start, once I got it started I just used a timing light to fix it.

The way it work for me was, I just cranked it a lot until it started and was running poorly. then turned the distributor a little until the engine sounded better. After that I used a timing light to get the correct timing.
