Car battery size

Post by neb_scot »

I noticed that my car battery is about 2 inches smaller than the base/housing it sits in. This is the battery that came with the car and know that one of the previous owners liked to cut corners on replacement parts (you should see the exhaust setup).

I have a spare battery for my wive's van that is 2 inches bigger, and can crank 900 amps where mine is more about the 700 amp mark. It seems to fit perfectly in the space.

So... I was wondering if any other 2.8 engine owners specifically, or older B2 owners in general could tell me what battery they are using.....

2.8's and 2.9's came with a group size 65 battery so if your van is a 65 that would be the battery that could go into your b2
