First things first you have to make sure your head didnt get warped from the blown gasket. 2 change all your fluids diffs inculded. while your doing your head gasket you should change your valve seals etc you have to take the head off anyway.

Well to be honest if you want to "have fun" with it look to be swaping that whimpy dana 28? for a 35 worth the effort. but if you dont plan on hard wheeling the 28 should do fine. the twin i beam looks confusing but its really not. do you plan to lift the truck..they are extreamly easy to lift alot of guys use f250 coils and springs or just add a leaf and use f150 coils on the front or f100

i got a 84 BII 2.8 i got a rough country 3 inch suspension has all the drop brackets and coils for twin i beam and blocks for the leafs. pretty simple install had to grind out some rivets on the brackets that had to drop. didnt come with shocks or extended brake hoses but im running rancho shocks and got some pro comp steel braid lines.

it was cheap like 300 bones. only bad thing you got to buy longer brake hoses and shocks. i went with rancho shocks like 50 a piece and for the the brake hoses the only thing i found was pro comp steel braid which which you can get a jc whitney. so your lookin at like 500 bones for all.
