Inexperienced question. Tires on stock truck

Post by cajun66 »

I'm getting a 84 B2 4x4 soon from a friend that I think is stock with the 2.8 and automatic. I don't think it has been lifted at all but I have a set of 15in rims with good used 235/75/15 Goodyear MTRs. Will they rub the fenders during articulation or turns? Will they be too much for the stock pumpkins under a load? I don't know much about these trucks except I like em.

Not a bad question, I ran 235's on my bII with no problem, no rubbing and no axle breaking. If you break a stub shaft the experience will do you well in the off road world. Just a little hint though, don't turn hard and gas it at the same time!!! :canada: :redneck:

Thanks. I'm used to breaking things. I'm usually pretty hard on my stuff. Already looking for a 4x4 explorer donor.
