Help! 84 rebuild

Post by Yumadavis »

I have a friend who is re-building an 84 with various issues - he's bought a short block and is putting it all back together. I know some of this is covered but any help is appreciated :finger:

#1 i just got my new motor put in and im back to where i was when i bought the bronco.
when i got it, it would start if it had a full battery, or by jumping it, but it wouldnt hold a charge. so i thought the alternator was dead. i got it tested and its brand new. its just not charging.

#2 when i cut the wheel all the way to one side the engine dies.

#3 a few days after i got it "before i swaped motors" it just wouldnt start one day so i got my test light out and im not getting any power to my coil.
