question
I picked up a NP 205 transfer case the other day, trying to bolt it up to a ZF 5 speed, any way, looks like I'm going to have to grind off where the transfer case bolts up due to the shift rail on the t-case. is this a good idea?

Re: question
yes this is pretty common to notch the mounting flange for the shift linkage. be sure to use both the t-case mounts though. aluminum will not take the weight of the 205. i think classic bronco's has a write up explaining how to do it with a c6
