Hard starts with my 89 Bronco II XL

What happens is sometimes I start my Bronco II up and sometimes it doesn't start right away I let the fuel pump noise stop and then try starting it and it won't start, it tries to then stops. Then I try it a few seconds after and then it starts. Does anyone know what could be the problem? Is there anyone to post a sound clip on this site on a video clip?
