Post by stevenf »

I am abuot to start rebuilding a GM 12 bolt rear for my BII and rust is the first thing I want to get rid of. What have you guys found is the best on the shelf purchase for durability? Has to atleast withstand pressure washing lol.

Sheet metal must be rust free before coating. If your talking frame, wire brush all loose stuff and use POV15, I hear that's the good stuff. I've used tremclad paint, but be sure to use the brush on stuff! Also use many coats. I've had good results applying rubberized paintable undercoating over tremclad, then painting again. :canada:
