Auto locking hubs
Well here we are with 2 feet of snow on the ground, what is the best way to be sure my front hubs are locking in the way they should be. This is my first winter with the B2. Also any suggestions for a supplier for manual hubs and are manual hubs better overall. ? Thanks
Junk the autos. Warn makes a pretty strong hub. I have broke axle shafts off inside of them. I also have grenaded the housings on them and the still worked to get me home. The ford manuals fail inside and will just let the axle shaft spin inside of it.
EBSteve just likes to watch me break things.:-)

Declare them a gift or a trade, apply a value of $10.00 to them for customs, or classify them as used sample auto parts for rebuild and ship them for under $20.00 total. Do it quite often. Sent a shaft to a guy up north as a sample shaft, no duty or goofy tax.

d35 / 28
Here I go , learning again about my newly aquired B2. What is the difference between a d35 and a d28. For that matter what is a "d" that you are speaking off. Sorry for my ignorance . Also regarding the changeover to manual, is it true I need manual hub adaptors along with the hubs themselves to make the whole thing work ????.
The "d" is merely an abbreviation of Dana, the axle manufacturer.
To change auto hubs to manual hubs you also need the bearing retainer nuts from manual hubs. No adapter is used, just change the nuts and install the manual hubs. SInce you just got your Bronco you need to pull the front bearings and clean/repack them any way, just as a preventative measure.

the d is short for dana and i would be curious to know how to tell which one is in my B2 and i'm not sure about the manual hub adapters i've never heard of that but it might be something you have to have

I would put my money on it being a D28. I think either 89 or 90 got some D35's but I think the actual numbers are low.i would be curious to know how to tell which one is in my B2
