More 4.0 Swap Problems

Post by steiner_5000 »

I still having problems with my 4.0 swap. The next one is the charging., It's a brand new alternator so I know thats not bad. But anyway the alt. isnt powering my battery back up or running the truck. The truck is just running off the battery voltage and draining it. Iam sure the wires are right. The power wire from the alt.(big black one with orange stripe) is going to the battery side of the solenoid and the other wires are plugged into the wiring harness. What could be the problem

Apparently the wire that tells the voltage regulator to charge is not installed correctly.

when I did mine I just pluged up the small green/red wire comming from the fire wall to the same colored wire going to the alt. and it was good.

do you have chiltons from both trucks infront of you?
