One Gas Thief Down

Post by Nobody »

When I got to work this morning there was someone standing around the cars across the street. I headed into my office pretending I didn't even see them, then pulled a stealth move into one of the front offices with the lights out.

Sure as shit, as soon as I'm out of sight the guy heads over to a car and pulls something that looks like speaker wires. But wait that's not speaker wires, it's a fricken hose! Then he bends over and picks up a gas can!

So I call 911 and report him....very detailed description since I'm looking right at him. As I'm on the phone with 911 he takes off with some chick down the side street.

A few minutes later I look down the street and see the lights. Looks like they caught him red handed

Then a few minutes the later cop was parked in front of my office. I went out to have a look, and the thief was in the back seat flipping me off.......

It's something I consider from time to time. I think it would be fun. They just had a bit on the news recently how Sheriffs were making over 6 figures with all the overtime they get

The Sheriff's dept is always hiring too.....

I think our cost of living is pretty average. Since the last housing boom, the average non-ghetto 3bd house is 200-225K. Gas is currently $1.99. DSL $30, Dish $30, Garbage $5-10. Daycare $700  :frown: :frown:

That position requires 2 years exp.

Ya around here I think the starting is like $17.50 or so. I cannot remember because its been so long and has changed alot since I started....

I am maxed out with raises except for cost of living and market research raises, but I didnt quite make 60..... And that was with a handful of overtime....
