Re: 5.0 Install
I have a mechanical fuel pump, don't know if it will fit my block though. I also have the intake, I'll just need a carb and figure out what to do with this damn distributer.

Re: 5.0 Install
Is that the piece on the timing gear? What would I all need to do that? Would it be cheaper to get an electric pump and regulator?
Re: 5.0 Install

Re: 5.0 Install
ive never run one,but ya dont want alot of preasure. i used a mechanical pump when i did my V8 swap. you may have to notch out the frame using those headers.what kind are they?? and what are they for??
Re: 5.0 Install
My wife got them from therangerstation store. They are for a 302 swap. Do I need a different timing cover if I use a mech. pump? I'm not sure what I would have to do. I'll bypass the one that's on there now for the v6 and leave the one that's inside the gas tank right? Now that I'm going with a carb setup I feel like I'll be running it a lot sooner. Thanks for all the help. I never did this before and your really helping me through.

if you go mechanical pump ya need a different timing cover. i think you can leave the in tank pump. i think if it were me i would use a inline elect. pump. that way ya don't have to hunt down a cover and the eccentric
