job looks good , i did mine with a sheet of 20g front and rear , but have the rounded ends the hard one was the front as far as a spare try a rock mount for a jeep bumper it works well unless you chop the top then it sticks up too high i used a air gate (5th wheel) for a 85 chevy cut it down lowered the lock pins to use as hinges and put in some 1/4 steel plate for the lock mounted a stock jeep spare holder to the inside and was done btw with a 4 lift 3 body cut fenders you can run 40s
