The last post to this thread before you posted was Dec 29. Over a month ago. Clearly you had motives for posting to this thread. I'm telling you that you're being disrespectful by belittling the service and sacrifice of others. You can either respect that or not.
The topic title is "How many of you guys are military or x military?" NOT "Hey Spark86 why didn't you serve in the military?"
Your opinion is welcome. Start a new topic, and don't get upset if we don't like it.
How many of you guys are military or x military?
yeah, that's kinda messed up. man, most of the people on here are ex militay or currently serving. personaly I may not agree with some of the reasons we used to go but if we are going we need to support period. I support and completely respect enyone that feels strong enough to go and risk there life so I and everyone else in this country can have a free society. so if you don't agree with something thats cool but don't push that in someones face, remeber people died so you can have what you have and the people on this board risked everything to ensure it wether they went in war time or not because there is always that posiblity that you will go tomarrow.

I never intended to ram my argument down anyone's throat.DBrown wrote:yeah, that's kinda messed up. man, most of the people on here are ex militay or currently serving. personaly I may not agree with some of the reasons we used to go but if we are going we need to support period. Well, I am a bit too used to topics expanding beyond their original purpose. Sorry about that. The last post to this thread before you posted was Dec 29. Over a month ago. I don't care if my opinions face opposition. I am fine with opposition as long as no administrative personnell discriminate aganist me for it (some forums have banned me for having a different opinion, as they banned me based on some minor infractions. Of course, those that agreed with the admins did not get in trouble for even more major infractions. I hope that does not happen here).
Well just keep in mind this website is an extension of my home. I own the server. It sits in a closet in my house. I pay the bandwidth and do all the maintenance myself. I provide this website, forum and information for free. I also happen to be a Veteran.Spark86 wrote: Well, I am a bit too used to topics expanding beyond their original purpose. Sorry about that.

My door is in essence open to the world. I have no problem with differing opinions as long as it's in a tasteful manner. I do however have the right to delete/ban at will. Just as you might ask someone to leave if they came in your home running their mouth.
So, if some of your opinions have caused you trouble in the past. Maybe you should save them for your own website and keep the slate clean here.
Well, I think that they banned me mainly because I was refuting their viewpoints from a differing perspective, not the views themselves.Nobody wrote:Well just keep in mind this website is an extension of my home. I did not know the veteran population was so large here. I have, however, have heard from veterans with differing views as well.

I agree happy-jack,you and I and guys like us were part of the first all volunteer armed forces after the cease fire in vietnam.Lucky,or stupid me actully got in on the evac of siagon in april 75.Sometimes it upsets me to hear people say things like "for a few oil barons".And I wonder if they have any clue what thier lives would be like if the price of oil was 100.00 or more per barrel, the U.S. and maybe the western world econimy would come to a screeching halt, farmers couldnt buy fuel to produce food.Well lets just say it wouldnt be a world where you would get much time to sit in air conditioned comfort and watch t.v. all day.
