I had a friend in highschool with a BII. I think it was around 1991 I helped him chop the top. Our auto/metal shop teacher said, "if Heny Ford saw that he would roll over in his grave"
I ended up buying my Bronco II wrecked. I had full intentions of chopping it right way. I thought they looked cool as a pickup. Of course I quickly grew attached to having the back on there.
Fast forward a couple years.... I V8 and promptly roll it.

The rear portion survived the roll, but I decided it was as good a time as any to chop it.
Post chop, I like wheelin it much better. My Bronco has also doubled as a much needed work truck. Not so great for daily driving. Can't lock up my stuff (could if I finished it).....there's no place haul stuff safely like my fishing gear. Even with no window in back, it's not quite the openess one would hope for. And now that I have a daughter, I need a back seat again so I can bring her up in 5 feet of snow.
