4x4 shift motor

I just removed my 4x shift motor on my 90 bronco II cleaned the contacts and reinstalled it. Now my 4 Hi works every time but my 4 low sometimes it works and other times it acts like the transmission is in neutral. Is this a mounting issue?

I am not sure I am having the same problem with my 88 bII but it will go into low but not hi. I think I am going to cange over to a manual system.
