leveling spacer

i got a 88 ranger 4x4. I took the nut off the coil and the coil is free. How do i get the coil out so i can get my spacers in? I dont have a coil spring compressor. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME!!

OK first jack up truck support with stands under the frame take the wheel off on the side you are working on then disconnect the shock on that side
the coil should fall out if not push down on the spindle then the coil will fall out!

are u for sure that the coil will fall out?

Yup,
if you took the nut off of the bottom

Disconect the front sway bar and it will help a little also.

You will have to bend a couple of the flanges in the top of the bucket inward to release the coil. I suggest buying or building a j-hook of some kind to hold the spring in the bucket if you use longer shocks. The flanges will not hold them.
