SWITCHING TO HEI

Post by camaro71 »

Ive inherited one of my brothers mud toys. Lifted 1985 Bronco II with the 2.8. It was on a set of not so great 35s. We put a set of IROK 39s on it and when we dropped the body they didn't tuck. So my roommate took a electric saw and cut the fenders. In the process he cut into the ECM box. We had a Ford buddy of ours look at it. He had it running once for about 5 minutes and it died. Its getting fuel but no fire. So my question is what does it take to switch it to a HEI and lose all the electronics. Its strictly off road and we dont need any of it. Keep in mind it ran like a champ before. Anyone done this?

Thanks. - Austin

You need a non feedback carburetor and then a Duraspark distributor.
