power loss

Post by ptan109 »

My BII loses almost all power after being driven for about an hour. It revs but does not want to go more than about 20 miles per hour and heaven forbid if you are on the slightest incline. At that point it also shifts (automatic) very hard to 2nd gear then immediatly downs shifts again to first. Any ideas ? We have already tuned it up and removed the cat convert and no luck.

shift solenoid?

mine loses power going up inclines too. I just give it gas and power through...even though I have tremendous rocker tap or a very big exhaust leak at the manifold LOL. Downhill she's really smooth and quiet as a church mouse. Up hill, tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap tap....louder the more gas I give it.
