puttin an automatic in our manal

Post by jmbarto06 »

We've got a 87 bronco II xlt and its a five speed. We've got a 87 ranger for parts and it has a brand new tranny we want to put in ours. We want the automatic. Both are 4 four wheel drive and we've got everything from the ranger but are unsure about how difficult it'll be. Any suggestions?

going from a stick to an automatic should be a piece of cake if you have a complete donor.

It's all bolt in. Don't forget to swap the computers, auto and manual are different.

Thank you. Never thought about the computers and switching them out. I'd love to have someone who knew what they were doing be doing it but you know how it is..no cash.

if you swap be sure to replace torque converter seal. I skipped it because it wasn't leaking and had to pull it again 2 months later.
